Our story
From one observation to a movement.
How a simple idea — that every child should have books worth reading — grew into a network of schools, clubs and readers.
2018
The spark
The ETR Initiative was born out of a simple observation: children in marginalized communities lacked access to engaging reading materials, which held back their academic potential.
2020
Expanding reach
Even amid a global pandemic, we expanded our book distribution network to over 20 partner schools, so learning continued outside the classroom.

Empowering thousands
We support thousands of students every year with scholarships, rewards and a vibrant network of community reading clubs across the region.
